Procedure for access to ONLY second floor tools at the CNF

Attention former NBTC members: The CNF recently assumed many tools and some lab space from the Nanobiotechnology Center (NBTC). We have made this page for former NBTC users who would like to continue to use the tools at the CNF. This page will spell out the procedure for regaining access to the tools.

How do I decide whether I need access to ONLY second floor labs or the entire CNF facility (cleanroom and second floor labs)?
  • What tools do you need?
If you plan to use tools ONLY from this list, then you only need access to the 2nd floor labs. If plans change and you need to use tools in the cleanroom, you will be required to complete the main CNF orientation and safety training (New User orientation fee will be charged).

      User Forms

      Project Proposal

      New User Application - Cornell

      New User Application - External

New User Applications: Cornell Users should fill out the New User Application - Cornell.  Users external to Cornell without an active Cornell netid need to first obtain a Cornell GuestID; then, users external to Cornell need to fill out the New User Application - External, a liability form which must be signed by a corporate officer in your organization. Both of these PDF forms need to be filled out before submitting them electronically, as well as printing them and obtaining the proper signatures. Only use Adobe Acrobat Reader to fill out the New User Application forms... other PDF programs, including Mac Preview, are not compatible.
